We welcome Perth expat, percussionist Phil Stroud to the collective to offer up a rework of Kempton; To further deepen the dialogue between jazz and electronic music.

Since his self-titled debut on Good Company Records in 2016 Phil's work played a massive part in the birth of La Sape Records. His unbound soundscapes and deep connection to native flora and fauna offer endless inspiration and space for reflection.

2019 saw this aforementioned mastery open Gilles Peterson's 'Sunny Side Up' compilation with his outstanding track 'Banksia'. And after last year, having self-released 'Australiana' (a dub-techno masterpiece) and what we consider one of the best releases of 2020. It was clearly time to have Phil contribute to the label.
